Fundraising

Each year, the PTA conducts a vote among Bevis parents to elect either a donation drive program or adopt a traditional sales program to raise the majority of funds that we use through the year to support our children and our school. Since 2007, the parent body has overwhelmingly selected the donation drive format, and thanks to their generosity, we have been able to provide invaluable enhancements to our childrens’ educational experience, without our children becoming solicitors for additional products.

In addition to our donation drive, we also conduct a few community partner programs that add to our bottom line that allow the children to feel more involved in supporting their school, namely the Box Tops 4 Education program, Office Depot purchases & Target purchases. We conduct monthly Spirit Nights in partnership with various local restaurants and two family events each year.

Community-Building

The goal of PTA programs is to improve the education, health and well-being of our Bevis students. Advancing family engagement is the hallmark of PTA’s mission and the Bevis PTA is proud to sponsor these programs for our students.

We start the year with our annual Safety Fair in October – providing our children and community with the latest and greatest information on all sorts of safety in a fun and lively atmosphere such as bike safety, swim safety, stranger danger, fire safety, drug and alcohol awareness, and poisonous plants and animals. Not only are families provided with this valuable info, but our participating vendors also provide hands on, interactive opportunities to get children on board with being safe.

The Bevis PTA is proud to host a team for our local annual Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society. We have a coin drive, a restaurant night and a Mini Relay for our students to walk and participate in this worthwhile cause. Last year, we raised over $10,000 for the American Cancer Society.

And to close each school year, the PTA, in partnership with the school, conducts the annual Spring Rodeo – a fun-filled evening of games, food, and auction for the entire family! Classrooms host activities and everyone gets involved! It is an event not to be missed!
